You say you want an explanation.
Okay, so hey! A few of you have been kind enough to drop by and say, “Hey, Zio, what the crack, shouldn’t you be watching movies and rambling about them like it’s your job?”
Which, fair enough. That is sort of what it says in my manifesto. And I would do the same thing to you if you suddenly stopped replying to my emails, or answering my calls, or leaving your house at...

Day 29 : Film 383 (Serenity)
Director: Joss Whedon (2005)
Running Time: 119 mins
Blurb: As a ruthless assassin hunts one of their members, the crew of Serenity seeks to spread the truth about the governing Alliance.
Zio’s Random Thoughts: I know, I know. We are SO FAR IN THE FUTURE, List-wise, we’re not even in the four hundreds, any more. I’m rapidly running out of reserve films, too. SITUATION DIRE....

Day 28 : Film 423 (Kill Bill Vol. 2)
Director: Quentin Tarantino (2004)
Running Time: 136 mins
Blurb: The Bride continues upon her roaring rampage of revenge, all the while seeking Bill.
Zio’s Random Thoughts: We’re back on track! As of this film, I have caught up with where I should be in my viewing stats. Of course, we’re up to a completely irrelevant number, but I’m working on that. Anyway,...
flickflickflicker-deactivated20 asked: x-men 2 is on the list?

WHAT THE FUCK?
did i know this?
did i rage?
a-mosh-pit-with-a-view asked: Yes, yes you ARE missing something (re: the X-men 2 vs X2. It's just a change in standardised acknowledgement of films. Like Starwars 4: A New Hope was originally just Starwars. It wasn't until they realised OH HEY THERE ARE MOVIES THAT COME BEFORE THIS MY GOSH WE MESSED UP HERE OLOLOL that they renamed it Starwars IV A New Hope instead.

Day 28 : Film 432 (X-Men 2)
Director: Bryan Singer (2003)
Running Time: 133 mins
Blurb: Following an attempt on the president’s life, old enemies band together to discover who is secretly controlling mutants.
Zio’s Random Thoughts: Now, I’m confused. I really am. Because, see, the List very clearly tells me that I should be watching X-Men 2. My DVD case tells me that contained within is X-Men 2. AND...
hooloovooo asked: If you liked Shaolin Soccer, you might like Kung Fu Hustle. It was directed by the same guy and it's equally ridiculous.
Also, I admire you for even trying to do this. Sometimes, I can't even watch a film in just one day, because I get distracted so easily. I can't imagine how trying to watch 500 films in 500 days must be, so good luck with that!

One hour, seventeen minutes, twenty seconds.
How long it took me to realise that his name isn’t actually Alex. It is a made up fucking fairy tale name.

Day 28 : Film 473 (Into The Wild)
Director: Sean Penn (2007)
Running Time: 148 mins
Blurb: After graduating from university, a young man gives up his worldly possessions, donates his money to charity, hitchhikes to Alaska and walks into the wild.
Zio’s Random Thoughts: Now, that’s novel. I’ve never known a film to have two distinct title cards, before. I spent so long staring at them, trying to decide...

Day 27 : Film 474 (Enter the Dragon)
Director: Robert Clouse (1973)
Running Time: 96 mins
Blurb: Having been invited to compete in a tournament, a martial arts master agrees to spy on a mysterious crime boss, using the tournament as cover.
Zio’s Random Thoughts: Now, see, this is one of those films I’d never heard of before. Not a peep. Martial arts films aren’t my usual cup of tea (excluding Shaolin Soccer,...

Stack's on!
Hey! Hey! HELLO, EVERYBODY! Forgive all the exclamation marks, but I’m just SO EXCITED TO BE HERE.
There’s been radio silence here for a couple of days, and that is mostly because Team Builders was joined by Team Electrician, so the power had to go off in my house (including the various boxes that bring me wi-fi), for reasons that I couldn’t fully grasp, because I was too busy...

Day 24 : Film 456 (28 Days Later)
Director: Danny Boyle (2002)
Running Time: 113 mins
Blurb: Waking in a world that he thinks is empty, a bicycle courier is terrified to find he isn’t alone.
Zio’s Random Thoughts: Yay! I’m going to repeat that again for effect. Yay! I love 28 Days, kids! It ticks all my boxes - zombies, low-budget, ridiculous product placement. (I have oddly specific boxes.)
I...
