Day 28 : Film 473 (Into The Wild)
Director: Sean Penn (2007)
Running Time: 148 mins
Blurb: After graduating from university, a young man gives up his worldly possessions, donates his money to charity, hitchhikes to Alaska and walks into the wild.
Zio’s Random Thoughts: Now, that’s novel. I’ve never known a film to have two distinct title cards, before. I spent so long staring at them, trying to decide which one to post, “into” stopped being a word for me. You know how that happens?
And, okay, I know one of them is a continuation of a letter and the other is actually the title card, but I liked the font on the first better than on the second.
In other news! Two things: One; you may have noticed I disappeared for a couple of hours, there. That’s because I dropped a couple of nighttime cold and flu tabs, trying to combat whatever it is I’m coming down with, thinking that I am tougher than medication that’s supposed to help you sleep. FALSE. I am not. Two; This film! I don’t know a lot about it, but I do know that it has something of a cult following. Hence, the video store copy that I have here is all scratched up to billy-o. So, I suppose my mission for today is to find out what all the fuss is about.
